Foods that can improve Gastritis and Gut health

Theres so much talk on gut health these days, which can leave you wondering whats best for you, especially if you’r suffering with bad symptoms with your own gut health.

Gastritis is inflammation of the gut. These symptoms can cause: pain in the stomach area, a burning sensation, loss of appetite, nausea, indigestion, hiccups ect…

A 2022 study found that 53% of people with gastritis symptoms were eating too fast and eat at irregular times which caused more symptoms to appear.

This study also found that an anti-inflammatory diet significantly lowered the risk of gastritis symptoms. Also, H-Pylori has been found to be a significant causes of gastritis disease.

I have listed some foods that can help to improve gastritis:

  • Saurkraut

  • Kefir

  • Probiotics ( check which is best for you and your symptoms )

  • Spinach

  • Aloe Vera

  • Berries

  • Ginger

  • Tumeric

  • Garlic

  • Salmon

  • Lean meats

Things which can worsen gastritis:

  • Spicy foods

  • Alchol

  • Fried foods

  • High fat meats

  • Hot sauces

  • Coffee / Caffine

  • Citrus fruits

  • Lots of refined sugar

  • Tomatoes

  • Mint / peppermint

  • Foods high in salt

  • Eating late at night

  • Eating too fast

Discomfort in the gut and stomach can be very uncomfortable to deal with. If yo are suffering with burning in your throat or stomach or any of the sy,mptoms above. Try changing a few of these tips into your diet and see if your symptoms slowly reduce.

Also check with your doctors if your symptoms become worse.
