Thailand
So, the journey begins....
MY FIRST BLOG POST
I'm going to be travelling Thailand for 2 weeks ( 14 days), whilst doing 7 internal flights whilst I'm there.
I'm going to be travelling to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, then back to Chiang Mai.
Having never been to Thailand before, I'm super excited for the adventure that awaits...
Here iv mapped out the exact itinerary I will be embarking upon whilst in Thailand!
18th March - leaving for Thailand, flying from Manchester Airport, stop at Doha Airport.
19th March - Arrive in Bangkok for 2 days.
21st March - Another flight, arrive in Chiang Mai for 5 days
25th March - Fly to Chiang Mai, arrive during night
31st March - Fly back to Bangkok for one night.
1st April - Flying back home, one stop at Doha airport
Bangkok..
The Grand Palace- Whilst in Bangkok we visited the Grand Palace. Temples like I have never seen before.
We got here by one of the local company boats. Before entering the temples, male and female have to cover their legs and shoulders and before going inside some temples you will be ask to take your shoes off and no photograph are allowed to be taken.
So, if you are planning on visiting the Grand Palace Harem pants and tshirts are a must to bring. Harem pants were my favourite to wear whilst in Thailand as they are light and fold really small to fit into your rucksacks or backpacks. You can buy these trousers outside the Grand Palace in the small local shops.
My Visit To Chiang Mai Included..
- Buatong Waterfall (Known as the Sticky Waterfall
Visiting the sticky waterfall was one of my top places to visit whilst in Chiang Mai. We arrived here on a Tuck Tuck (Thailand's form of a taxi). You don't need to book or pay to visit this waterfall and can make your own way there.
Once you arrive at the waterfall, you will need to walk down some steps to get the bottom, passing lots of bamboo trees and nature!!
These waterfalls were incredible, left me feeling like I was in a tropical forest which could have been located anywhere in the world!
The waterfalls rocks were surprising very sticky (the reason for their name), so we could climb all the way to the top and back down again and also had thick ropes attached to the trees at the top to hold on to.
If your going to visit Chiang Mai, I would definitely recommend visiting this!
The Elephant Sanctuary
Whilst in Chiang Mai I had to visit one of the Elephant sanctuary's. The one I visited was called 'Happy Elephant Home' and I would definitely recommend visiting them on your trip. At this sanctuary you get to feed them, bathe them in the river (their favourite part). This company does not support any riding, wiping or bring nay harm to the animals. The elephants were very loved by their owners and were treated amazing.
The baby elephant was personally my favourite, named 'Milo' only 1 year old. Milo was cheeky and mischievous trying to push the others in the water and would love to suck on the owners thumb.
During the day, you stop for lunch that you make yourself. One of the owners of your group teach you how to make rice noodles Thai style!
This trip was around £60 per person which included your journey to the sanctuary and back with one stop break, your lunch and free bottles of water throughout the day.
When in Thailand most of my footage was captured on the GoPro hero 5 (Black)
These are my favourite to capture every moment of your adventures.
Hope you enjoyed my Thailand adventure Blog
HAPPY TRAVELS!
